West Nile Virus Surveillance Program Begins

West Nile virus (WNv) is vectored by mosquitoes that feed on an infected bird. To minimize the threat of WNv, exposure prevention and mosquito control are key. While WNv is detected each year in Washington state, there have been no positive cases found in Clark County. Testing efforts at CCMCD continue to increase each year.
